Angry Birds Rio has officially been released for the iPhone and iPad! Angry Birds Rio features characters from the upcoming “Rio” movie from Fox. The new title includes 60 new levels, with more under development for future updates, and even slightly updated game play.
In the newest edition to the Angry Birds family, our favorite flying attackers are no longer facing pigs! In this version of the popular iOS game, gamers are on a mission to save the captive birds. Therefore, they are breaking cages and destroying evil monkeys.
Rovio has done a tremendous job at updating the graphics and finding a way to keep the now legendary game play fresh and as entertaining as ever.
The new Angry Birds Rio app only costs $.99 in the App store for iPhone users and up to $2.99 for the iPad 2.
With the introduction of this title, the Angry Birds family now owns 3 of the top 5 spots for iPhone paid apps! Angry Birds Rio has officially passed by Tiny Wings for the #1 position, Angry Birds for St. Patrick’s Day is in the 5th spot, and the original game is still in 3rd place. It is truly impressive to see how these games have overwhelmed all competitors in the app gaming universe. How long will mobile gamers be obsessed with these games?
